‘Schrödinger’s backup’ is a concept we should all
be more familiar with, but for those that haven’t heard this phrase yet,
Schrödinger’s backup refers to the idea that “The condition of any backup is
unknown until a restore is attempted.” It is clear that recoverable backups are
essential, but surprising how rarely they are tested.
